Enter acreage.....
Now it had been almost 25 years since I lived on land of a decent size and Paul had grown up spending weekends and holidays at a 1000 acre farm at Rathdowney and learnt what it was like to actually "live" off the land and this was something that we wanted to instill in our own smalls. The plan was to move here, get some chooks, do some vege gardens and get a beast to house in the paddock until it was nice and fat! I guess that somewhere along the way in the past few months, we lost that direction, so now, we are going to surge on and really take it by the horns so to speak.
For now though, here are some pics of how beautiful this place really is.
This is the view from my kitchen benches, beautiful isn't it?
This is from the entertainment area looking towards the enclosed paddock which is currently used for the racing trials on the quad!
From where this one was taken, there is probably about an acre of land behind me that already has 5 mango trees on it.
Looking towards the house from Jacqi's vacant pad! LOL! For those that know Paul, as you can see he is still very "passionate" about having perfect grass!
The "Howe Awesome" garden cleared out by the one and only Jacqi. This is in the middle of the circular driveway and currently has frogs, tadpoles, guppies and a turtle living in there!
